Important to Know…
Before you make any decisions on whether or not you may or may not retain my services, let me tell you a little bit about myself, this way your decision can be based on “the facts“.
The Facts:
- My web site designs are finely-tuned to-the-pixel. Every comp mock-up that I submit to a client is replicated to the (x) and (y) axis so that is displays in your browser the way that is displays in Adobe Acrobat. Sometimes I have to create a work-around for Internet Explorer 6, but then who doesn’t?
- I hand-code all my xhtml and css and it’s imperative that it is semantic, clean and optimized. Lately I have been customizing a lot of Wordpress themes (where the code is already written) and I have found myself spending a lot of time cleaning up and/or re-writing the code.
- I would be just as happy kicking off a full branding campaign for you (logo, social objectives, printed collateral, etc..). Granted, most of my time is spent keeping up with current web site and social media trends, design is design, so I put as much thought and passion into each part.
- If it’s not obvious, my design style is very graphical; I am a sucker for textures and rich colors. Though I can and have designed sites with less flair, this is my preferred style. If you are not yet familiar with my style, have a look at my design section.
- Lately, Wordpress has become my passion. The most well-known, free, open-source blogging and CMS platform has gotten me excited about what I do all over again. The more I learn about it, the more I want to know. It has even gotten me interested in learning PHP, which is the programming language that fuels Wordpress. I have a ways to go before I am proficient in PHP (I am a designer, by-the-way), but I have learned enough to work within the environment so that it does not put limits on my layouts.
- It is important to me that you are happy with the product that we have created together. A web site (or any graphic design work) is the tool that is going to connect your business to the world, it is your storefront, so it’s important that it’s done right!
